Learn Chinese Mai Ti Fass

We're all concerned about expanding the foreign language instruction in our schools. The next generation will have to operate in a global economy, so the more foreign languages you can use, the better off you'll be.

A big language of the future is Chinese, but it is rare to find a teacher of Chinese in K-12 schools. Therefore, you have to turn to online instruction, like this.

Here are common expressions, in English. Read them silently.

Then read the translated versions aloud, in Chinese.

Voila! You're fluent! Or is it . . . fractured?

That's not right     Sum Ting Wong

See me as soon as possible   Kum Hia Nao

Small horse     Tai Ni Po Ni

It's dark in here     Wai So Dim

                                    Towaway Zone     No Pah King

I thought you were on a diet     Wai Yu Mun Ching

He's cleaning his vehicle     Wah Shing Ka

Our meeting is next week     Wai Yu Kum Nao

Staying out of sight     Lei Ying Lo

You have body odor     Yu Stin Ki Poo
